Malawi — Currency exchange map

The Malawian kwacha (MWK) is the national currency; US dollars, British pounds and South African rands are the main foreign currencies, and Zambian kwacha and Mozambican metical are traded near the borders. Lilongwe and Blantyre have the most offers, followed by Mzuzu, Zomba and Mangochi.
Banks and licensed forex bureaus operate in the city centres, and mobile money is widely used. In Malawi, listings let you exchange US dollars for Malawian kwacha directly with another person, in cash or by transfer.
