The Honduran lempira (HNL) is the national currency; US dollars are the main foreign currency, supported by remittances from the United States, while euros are exchanged mostly by tourists. Tegucigalpa and San Pedro Sula have the most offers, followed by Choloma, La Ceiba and the Bay Islands around Roatán.
