The Peruvian sol (PEN) is the national currency; US dollars are the most exchanged foreign currency and are accepted in many tourist businesses, while Chilean pesos, Bolivian bolivianos and Brazilian reais appear near the borders. Lima has the most offers, followed by Arequipa, Cusco, Trujillo and Chiclayo.
